Entry Level Sales Associate
Job Description
IDT is a leading Information Management consulting and solution implementation firm based in the northwestern Chicago suburbs. IDT is seeking to grow its sales team through the addition of an entry level Sales Associate. This person will be responsible for collaborating with our Marketing & Sales Executives to create sales demand and deliver active sales opportunities that are closable in 6-8 months. The career path of an entry level Sales Associate can progress to an outside Sales Executive Position.
Health & Dental Insurance, 401k Plan, Flex days, Paid Vacation.
$24,995 - $32,000 plus commissions.
  • Generate new qualified sales prospects through the following activity: Develop & manage sales prospect target lists using IDTís CRM system
  • Execute initial phone conversations with sales leads
  • Connect & communicate using social media like LinkedIn
  • Develop and manage email campaigns
  • Participate in tradeshows and webinars and ensure proper follow up with leads after events
  • Coordinate discovery calls with qualified lead prospects to: Gather information, Assess business needs
  • Educate on suitable solution offerings
  • Determine potential viability of a sale
  • Maintain purposeful, regular contact with identified prospects to add value and drive sales forward through professional, regular contact through: emails, social media, phone calls and other relevant activities
  • Regularly and accurately update all internal systems on all sales activities
  • Actively participate in transition call with Sales Executives when potential customer moves from lead to genuine sales opportunity to ensure proper transition
  • Accompany Sales Executives to onsite customer meetings
  • Review and evaluate Requests for Proposals and assist Sales Executive with drafting an appropriate response
  • Bachelorís Degree or an Associate Degree with an active path toward earning a Bachelorís Degree
  • Strong business acumen, previous inside sales experience a plus
  • Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel & Word) proficient
  • Skilled at using LinkedIn and other Social Media tools to network and communicate
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Speak and write with ease, clarity and impact using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
  • Good at investigating situations or issues to get relevant information
  • Adept at asking probing questions to successfully obtain quality information
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain the trust of others
  • Sharp, fast learner with a curiosity and aptitude for technology
  • Up to 20% travel required (for training and events)
  • Candidates with prior sales experience will receive top consideration
